Lifshits, Mendl

1907–1983

Born in the shtetl Nestanovitch (Belarus), Mendl Lifshits was active in the promotion and valorization of Yiddish literature in Belarus. He published poetry from 1932 to 1981. Most of his poetry was written and published in Yiddish, though from 1957 he published also in Russian.
