Professor in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Oslo, Norway. In 2010 and 2011 Visiting professor in the electrical engineering department at the University of Hawaii’s Manoa campus in Honolulu. Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. Passed away on Mokuola Island in 2011 (Hawaii News Now, 2011) and Dedication in "Game Theory in Wireless and Communication Networks" (Cambridge Univ. Press, 2012)
