Turner, Phil

Phil Turner has a multidisciplinary, natural sciences background with extensive international links to the forest based sector research community. Whilst he continues to work on some industrial research projects, his research interests over the last 7 years have been increasingly focused on fundamental, theoretical questions on Relativity, Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Field Theory, thermodynamics, and condensed matter physics which relate to macroscopic quantum effects such as super conductivity, quantum biology, and to the assembly of biopolymers within the plant cell wall and more general plant growth. This work is leading to new insights which he hopes can inform the assembly of both organic and inorganic matter and the future development of new materials.
