Australia. Postmaster-General's Department

In 1901, the time of Australia's Federation, the Postmaster-General's Department was created to control all postal and telecommunication services within Australia. In 1975 the Departments functions were divided, Telecom was given telecommunications and Australia Post (then 'Postal Commission') was created to take over postal services.
