Senior lecturer in Australian History in the School of International Studies at Flinders University. Published widely on the history of the reproductive body and maternal loss, race relations in Australia and their cinematic representations. PhD in History from Sydney University in 2004. After holding positions at SBS Television and the Menzies Centre for Australian Studies, King's College, University of London, she came to the Flinders History Department in 2007
