Skytte Christoffersen, Poul

Was head of the Council secretary-general's private office from 1980 to 1994 and was involved in all European Councils during that period. He led work on the Single European Act, the Maastricht Treaty and the Delors I and II financial packages. From 1995 to 2003 he was Denmark's permanent representative to the EU, and helped successfully conclude EU enlargement negotiations with ten countries during the 2002 Danish presidency.
