Kennedy, Leonard A.

1922–2010

C.S.B. Father Kennedy taught Psychology and Philosophy at St. Michael's College from 1960 to 1963 and then taught Philosophy at Assumption University, Windsor from 1963 to 1977. He was President of Assumption University for three of those years and then returned to St. Thomas More College as its President in 1977. In 1982 Leonard took the post of Dean of Philosophy at the University of St. Thomas, Houston, where he was Director of the School of Thomistic Studies.In 1988 Father Kennedy retired from full-time teaching and became Chaplain and Professor at Brescia University College, London, Ontario. In 1989 he taught Philosophy full-time again at St. Peter's Seminary, London and retired a second time in 1994 to join the Basilian Mission in Saint Lucia, West Indies, where inter alia, he taught Theology and Philosophy in the Saint Lucia College and served as Vice-Rector of the newly begun archdiocesan seminary there. In 2006 Father Leonard retired to Anglin House in The Cardinal Flahiff Basilian Centre, Toronto.
