Abu Arab was known for his revolutionary and national songs that have been sung by Palestinians for decades. He is credited with composing around 300 songs and poems during his long career. Ibrahim Mohamed Saleh (1931 - 2014), better known as أبو عرب (Abu Arab) was a Palestinian poet and singer for the Palestinian resistance from the now depopulated village of al-Shajara in the Galilea. After 1948 he has been living in exile in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Tunisia.
