Isar, Raymond Francis

1916–2009

Educated at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and Balliol College, Oxford; in 1940 he joined the Indian Civil Service and in 1948 the Indian Foreign Service; in 1956 was obliged to resign from the IFS; in 1967 took to journalism; in 1971 settled in Paris where he passed away in November 2009
