born in Paris 1940, lived in British Cameroon, arrived in United States in July, 1949, worked for a materials research and development company in Washington, D.C.; became an American citizen in 1951, worked on fibers and structural materials at Brunswick Co. and for Goodyear Aircraft in Akron, Ohio, moved to Albuquerque, N.M., to work at Sandia Labs, researched solar energy, studied boron and borides and attended a conference in Bulgaria in 1980; retired from Sandia Labs and went to work for USAID; worked for Ultramet in Pacoima, Calif., moved back to Albuquerque region; published books on science and technology; became a painter and sculptor
