While I teach all areas of medieval literature and language, my academic specialty is devotional literature of the 13th and 14th centuries, particularly in connection to anchoritism, eremiticism, and monasticism. I am especially interested in women's religious experiences and the intersection of sexuality and spirituality, particularly same-sex relations and other forms of queer sexuality; B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in English; Prof. in the Dept. of English at the Univ. of North Dakota
