MacDonald, Anne

Anne MacDonald studied Indology and Tibetology at the University of British Columbia, Canada, and the University of Hamburg, Germany. She received her PhD from the University of Vienna in 2003 and is employed at the Institute for the Cultural and Intellectual History of Asia of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Her primary focus is the development of Madhyamaka thought in India and Tibet. She is engaged in preparing a Sanskrit edition of Candrakīrti’s Madhyamakāvatārabhāṣya based on the newly available manuscript of the work
