Liu, Toming Jun

Geb. in Xi'an, verließ China zu Beginn der 1980er Jahre, stud. in Großbritannien und den USA. Toming Jun Liu is the pen name of Liu Jun, a professor in the Department of English, California State University, Los Angeles, where he teaches American literature, nineteeth-century and twentieth-century European literature, aesthetics, and critical theory. Liu has worked as a translator for the United Nations, and has also translated works such as Faulkner's Light in August into Chinese.
