Following the return from his German recording tour with The Shamrocks, the R&B boom bass player joined Dr K’s Blues band ; his visionary idea led Fender to produce the Telecaster/Precision bass hybrid guitar ; worked at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich for 7 years as a conservation technician ; qualified as a toolmaker ; became a marine historian ; became a journeyman/shipwright/marine engineer working at the yard of Peter Freebody at Hurley on Thames ; self-employed consultant antiquities engineer working on major restoration for the National Trust
