Gim, Byeong lo

Philo Kim is associate professor at the Institute for Peace and Unification Studies, Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea. He has written more than 150 books and articles on North Korea and Korean unification issues. His recent books are Reading North Korea by Chosun Korea (in Korean, 2016) and Dreaming Unification Again (2017). He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from Rutgers University. Professor Kim had formerly served as a senior fellow and director of North Korean Studies Division at government funded research institute, Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU).
