Mamattah, Sophie

Sophie Mamattah completed her PhD - for which she conducted periods of extended field research in Russia (Ulyanovsk & Samara) and Germany (Berlin) - in the Department of Central and East European Studies at the University of Glasgow in 2009. Sophie has a number of published outputs, most recently she has been involved - as co-editor, author and translator - in the compilation of an upcoming special section of the area studies journal Europe Asia Studies (forthcoming, 2012), a collaboration which draws together researchers from the UK and Russian Federation. She has taught sociology and politics at the university of Glasgow and sociology and social policy at Glasgow Caledonian prior to taking up the post of project co-ordinator for "Modernising Russian Social Work Education & Teaching" at Lincoln.
