Christopher D. Scott was born in the U.S., but attended high school in Tokyo; graduated from Princeton, 1993; Ph.D. in Japanese Lit. from Stanford, 2006; teaches Japanese, Japanese lit. and film, and translation studies at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minn.
