Master's degree in Economics from Gulbarga Univ., Gulbarga, Karnataka in 2004; worked for her doctoral dissertation at the Inst. for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore, and studied the performance of various Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in India and China and their role in international trade, submitted her dissertation in 2010; currently Visiting Scholar in Economics in the Dep. of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Inst. of Technology Ropar, Rupnagar, Punjab; research interests: international trade and SEZs, development economics, the impact of trade and climate change, and agricultural economics
